This stunning rebuild uses a Turkish kilim for the fabric. The skirts were inspired by so many sidesaddle makers; the seat is a replica of Montgomery Ward, the back nearside skirt is a pattern from T. Flynn, the front offside jockey is a pattern from W. S. Haven, the back offside skirt is a combination pattern of Flynn and J.M. Holly's unique addition of the saddle bag.

This stunning J.S. Calles came from Vicker's Western Store in Idaho. The leaping horn bracket was shattered in three pieces. This saddle received new horn covering and a new bracket was custom made for it. The offside skirt had cracking and was replaced using an identical embossing pattern.

This R.T. Frazier came to Holly Saddlery from eBay in unusable condition. The offside skirt was ripped, the original bar shearling was disintegrating, the safe stitching had torn out. The replaced skirt was replicated and given a functioning offside purse.

This Ironbound was build by William Stuart Haven. All of the skirts are original. It features a beautiful purse on the offside. This is a rawhide tree, with SQHB. The seat has been replaced and horns have been remade to match the new carpet bag seat.

This sidesaddle was designed entirely by Savannah, our 7 year old daughter. She invested countless hours, from dismantling the original Montgomery Ward sidesaddle to filling in holes, boxing it up to be rawhided, and building it back up from scratch.

This R.T. Frazier came to Holly Saddlery from eBay in unusable condition. Both underskirts were dry rotted, torn and unusable. The rest of the saddle and small jockey skirts came back to life beautifully! This saddle now lives in Southern California with Jamie, where it will be used in late 1800's re-enactment.

This sidesaddle was stripped down and rebuilt with a mermaid theme for J.M. Holly's daughter on her 6th birthday. It incorporates solid brass starfish tacks, mermaid "skin", rainbow thread and a seashell purse on the offside.

Originally a Montgomery Ward catalogue sidesaddle, this piece went through one of the biggest transformations ever! The tree rawhided and this beautiful creation came to life. The sidesaddle now resides with Alex G. in Oklahoma!

This saddle was spotted by a Holly Saddlery follower at a tack shop in Pennsylvania. She willingly purchased it and shipped it to Idaho, where it was given a much needed makeover with a new safe. The saddle now resides in Missouri with Sarah M.

This saddle was sent to Holly Saddlery with a myriad of unsafe qualities, including a dangerous and incorrectly fiberglassed tree. The skirts were salvaged and transferred to a rawhide tree. The horns and seat were rebuilt to the customer's specifications. This saddle continues to reside in Idaho with Debbie D.

This stunning J.S. Calles arrived from Arizona (close to where it originated), with immense potential.
It had been worked on in the past, indicated by the horn coverings. Holly Saddlery provided the saddle with a beautiful makeover, new shearling, reinforced safe, new rigging and more. This saddle resides in Florida with Anette P.

Restoration: Unknown Maker "Phoenix"

This beautiful, fully rigged Western Sidesaddle came to Holly Saddlery from the International Side Saddle Organization. Affectionately given the name "Phoenix" after a custom leaping horn bracket was fabricated to replace the original shattered one, ultimately giving the saddle a new life. This saddle now resides in Oklahoma with Karen S. and is used often in shows.

This eBay purchase arrived with trashed skirts, however the attractive 21.5"x15" seat made her worth every penny. A diamond in the rough, this saddle transformed into something beautiful. This saddle now resides in Missouri with Sarah M.

This sidesaddle was built by W.A. King using a Whitman tree. The horns were salvaged and the doeskin cleaned. The full seat was replaced with new doeskin due to a hole in the seat on the offside in the original doeskin. This saddle resides in North Carolina with Laureen B.

This sidesaddle was built by an unknown maker. It's stunning condition made it a fairly easy restoration. It had had seen recent work done by another saddler, as it had nylon rigging. This was removed, replaced with appropriate leatherand a custom tapadero was made to match it.
